People will come and go like waves.
Who comes and goes without saying goodbye, but even so, they leave an impact either good or bad.
Since the beginning of the month I've tried to reach out to one of my mentors in the HQ. I called his number on the first day of the month but it's out of reach so I decided to leave a direct message in our company chatbox. Another Monday comes and my message is still left unread. It's nothing new, I shrugged it off because he was a busy person as he handles work from every branches nationwide.
But yesterday I already needed his input regarding a certain documents so I tried to call his number but it's still out of reach which I now find very unusual. I already have something in my mind that he resigned from work but just keep quiet about it until there's no pin announcement in the company email.
Later on that day, my teammate told me that her co-trainer chatted on her about the mentor from the HQ that he resigned already.
No heads up! sigh...
I should have say my farewell and to thank him for how she shape me to who I am today.
I am so grateful of him in so many ways.
He is both my mentor and colleague, one of the person I could work well in the company even though he was miles away.
I'll gonna missed his constant line "Jane, this is just a piece of advise"
every time I decide and entry docs that lacks the important attachment that needed by his superior, the very head of their Tax Department in the company.

Yes, I agree, it's easy for people to come and go without bothering to tell us they're leaving. I had that happen when I was working at Walmart, too. The assistant manager who was over the phone department had given me some work to do one morning but when I went looking for her that afternoon, I was told she'd quit at noon... That was quite sudden and I hadn't even seen her leaving.
