Finally
The light house post I promised
Scurdie Ness Lighthouse
Montrose
Scotland
My home town
I have been to the top of this a few times
As had my dad, his dad, his dad and his dad before him
It is less than a mile from where I lived, at Usan, near Montrose
Yay for a lighthouse, yay for me for having been right up to the top of it
Spiral staircase
Lighthouse anyone

The spiral staircase made me dizzy in the last one I walked up so I couldn't make it to the top

I found the coming down harder than going up, I was light headed

@Ineeddentures - That is another problem, so many steps to climb.

I could not go to the top now Anna.
My knees and ankles would not allow me too

I think there is no light house keeper anymore
I wonder how many times per day those stairs were climbed

They’re tough on me to climb because of my asthma, then the acrophobia once at the top. However, I have climbed a few in my days.

Standing outside at the top, holding onto the railing was cool.
A sort of right, can I go back down now cool.
Never again will I climb up to the top of a light house

It was built about 1870
It has stood the test of time
And been a welcome sight for many mariners

Lighthouses are very attractive to look at and visit.
