I informally started dieting in the week of January this year, and I never thought I would be able to stick to it, but I’ve made substantial changes to my and overall health. I decided to embrace a healthier lifestyle by counting my calories, removing some staples from my diet (like rice), and treadmill walks to speed up fat and weight loss. From 79 kg, I’m now at a healthy 69 kg, feeling lighter healthier. One of the biggest improvements has been my blood glucose level, which dropped from 6.7 to 5.5—almost back to normal. My cholesterol levels have also significantly improved. My doctor was very pleased with my blood test results and even suggested reducing some the medications I take. If my next test shows similar results, I hope my doctor might recommend lowering the dosage further, and maybe even me from maintenance medications. I’m not expecting that just yet, though, since I know doctors are cautious about discontinuing medications, especially for diabetes and other lifestyle-related conditions.

Your consistency has paid off. That's already is a great start for getting healthier but yes medication can't just discontinue even if you want to.
