Ouch!

Last Saturday I was helping my husband move our barbeque.
The little wire basket on the front holding the grill brush fell off and landed on my foot and part of my big toe.
Ouch!
It hurt and swelled up immediately.
Almost a week later and the swelling has come down and the bruising is fading.
So innocently done, yet such a lasting impact. When did you last hurt yourself that it lasted so long?

Ouch indeed Julia
Anything landing on our feet like that would be sore
Did you have shoes on?
So last Saturday I drove home 139 miles from where we were on holiday.
All the gear changes with my left foot resulted in me hurting foot and ankle and tearing and stretching tendons which caused a swelling
12 days later it has started to recover
13 days of pain killers , ice packs, and rest,
And only two short bike rides

@Ineeddentures Roundabouts really do slow down the traffic.

Bike only does about 55mph flat out lol

I really couldn't remember the last time I was hurt. These days I get paper cut often but they don't last long.

I injured my right knee about three months ago when I fell down tripping over a step on the front door. It took about two weeks to heal up by use of an ice pack on my knee.

Last May I fell on my knee on the hard wood floor. It swelled..got a knot on it..and it was sore and tender for a long time. I was afraid it was permanently damaged. It took a good 2 or 3 months for it to get back totally back normal. I thought about getting it Xrayed but it seemed to be gradually improving. Hope you are starting to recover from it.

I remember that awful fall you had on your knee.
An injury on a major joint such as the knee is much more serious.
The colour is really bright today, so many different shades of purple and blue, it is working its way out, but that swelling remains. It will slow me down a little bit today, as I am going with Grandpa to spend the day with the babies. They don't know that I am coming, so I will surprise them.

I hope the rest heals up quickly. Glad I have been pretty good at not hurting myself lately,

Yes, it is painful still.
I am afraid that it may slow me down today as I am spending the day with Grandpa and the babies, and they are so active and run so fast, they don't understand what I mean when I tell them that I am old.
Blood blisters can be quite painful.
