We’re Having a Tropical Heatwave

As I have learned in Florida, you either freeze or roast; there is no in-between, so when the strong winds blow, stand up to them and cool off or stand in the pouring rain. As you can see, I have had quite enough, but no reason to complain; nothing will change anyway. The thing is that you have to be creative. No matter what, you still have to have at least one meal a day in this heat???? So I have some creative ways to enjoy food anywhere the heat rises. I order from Walmart and have found a lot to like about the Great Value brand. Here are three creative snacks to enjoy just enough to fill your tummy. Take a flour tortilla or two. Top with pizza sauce, top with slices of pepperoni, and top with shredded cheddar. I put it into my toaster oven for half an hour and have a nice pizza-like treat. I order frozen buttermilk pancakes, top one or two with a pork sausage patty, and top with shredded cheddar. Bake for half an hour, and you have a nice snack to eat. Finally take one or two frozen waffles. I chose to brown up ground Italian sausage in my electric skillet first. Top the waffles with pizza sauce, top with Italian sausage, and shredded cheddar.
