Should I feel bad?

Last night my friend asked me if Danie and Yuki greeted me upon arriving home. He was expecting them to miss me so terribly that they'd be extremely excited to see me back home. I said, no, and he said, they're bad! Of course not! They're not bad dogs at all. Of course they miss me but when the air conditioner is on and Craig is sleeping when I m not home, they curl up next to him and are sound asleep! Of course they miss me because the moment they wake up and realize I'm home, they would bark to wake Craig up for him to let them out and greet me. So I don't feel bad that they're not right at the front door the moment I arrive.

I agree with Amber. When I was sleeping peacefully I do not get up to greet my parents, but I loved them.

SAme. And I don't feel bad at all because I know that I am their world. Especially, Danie.

@toniganzon - You know how much your dogs love you. They are happy when you are home even if they do not get up from their comfortable sleeping.

If I were sleeping comfortably, I don’t know that I’d get up either. We know they’re crazy about you.

Very true. I know how much they adore me and I didn't want them to wake up when they're sleeping comfortably next to Craig.

I agree that it’s not a big deal they didn’t greet you when you arrived. They were probably fast asleep when you got there and didn’t notice your arrival, so it’s understandable.

I think that is normal for them. Craig is with them so I am pretty sure they are very comfortable and cozy with him. But I am sure they miss you

I am sure they do miss me and I don't expect them to jump at me every single time. Especially now that Danie is in her senior years and Yuki is approaching that too.

I can understand that the dogs wouldn't come running if they were sleeping peacefully.

Same. And I didn't want to disturb them at all that's why I let them be. When they're awake, the moment they hear me coming right at the gate, I could already hear them crying for me.

Of course they miss you when you're not home, and you are right; they do not have to come running just be joyful to see you,

The cats used to greet my mother when she would come home from work, but sometimes they don't. But that doesn't mean the cats don't love her.

I agree. When my girls are awake, they always greet me. But when they're sleeping comfortably, they don't.
