JUNE: Men's mental health awareness month

Eldoret, Kenya
June 17, 2026 8:48am CST
I am not sure whether all of us are aware that June is a month set aside for men's mental health awareness. Well it encourages men to be open and avoid suffering in silence. We need to break the stereotype of "manning -up" yet we are suffering and dying little by little inside. Stress, Depression and Anxiety can destroy one who conceals them. I therefore encourage my fellow men here on myLot to be open about issues and share problems. I also encourage ladies to be understanding and supportive. May this month bring great and desired recovery to men who have been suffering in silence.

Not a chance because it's not the " man" thing to do.

if this would mean men not being destructive towards themselves or women, i'm always in. silence was never a solution though there is a saying that silence is golden but, in some cases, i feel. in general, there is still stigma about mental health, for all the genders.

I fully support this. Men need to know it’s a strength to ask for help. Their lives will be so much better if they reach out for any and all help.
