Let me preface this by saying that almost all people who have exposure to this tick borne syndrome do not get a red meat or dairy allergy but for those that do other than possible anaphylatic shock apparently it can also cause you to vomit if you are eating red meat or dairy. Last night when friend and I were at the free dinner..we were sitting by a nice couple who said that a friend of theirs had that and lost 110 pounds. He was vomiting almost every time he ate. It took UVA awhile to figure out what he had..and finally tested for it. The outcome in this case those was good, because it turns out his wife is a vegan and loves to cook. He needed to lose the weight so now they are happy as clams eating vegetarian meals. However, it must have been super frightening when they didn't know what was happening.

I am sure living with out meat is a small price to pay compared with vomiting everyday.

It really is, put on spray when you are outside and the temps are on the high side. They seem like most insects to particularly like humidity.

@snowy22315 We had some extreme heat a month or so ago, but lately it has been so cool and rainy.
But we are always careful when we are out but with living in a city you do not have alot of danger of coming into contact with ticks.

I know, I guess it gives new meaning to the saying every cloud has a silver lining.
