Apple pie

I let my husband make apple pie by himself in the kitchen while I relaxed on a couch, playing a game on my tablet. After a few minutes, he called me to look at what he had made. To my surprise, I saw the apple pie along with two other pastries: apple crumble and apple turnovers. I asked him why he had made so many desserts and how we would finish them all. He said, 'I cut all of the Granny Smiths and then realized it was too much. So, I made them all into these because I didn't want to throw away the cut apples. Well, they are delicious. But, how will we finish them all?

@Ayu2026 make sure everything is well wrapped and labelled with what’s inside and place in freezer.

The best ideas always come at the end, or sometimes when it is already too late. I never froze any left over pies. How do you do that?

@Ineeddentures Sure. You have your specialty in other areas. Well, since you do the shopping, and the baking, so technically, it's your creation!

No, he bought the pastry from store. It would be a lot of work if he made it by himself. Can you make the pastry? Well, you are a chef.

They were so delicious! I feel a bit guilty, though, as I ate way too much sugar.

It was done. We finished everything in 3 days. We kept the pie, crumble, and turnovers in the fridge, and munched on them every day. Ohh... untilI today still feel full. Next time my husband makes too much apple dessert, we'll definitely invite friends over to share it.

I did. Luckily, there were some football matches we could watch from home, so we munched on the pie and apple crumble. Surprisingly, we finished them without having to freeze any leftovers.

@Ayu2026 o, glad to hear that. too bad there were no leftovers yet, for sweet things, it's good to eat them while they are freshly made
