The rain landed upon us with vengeance

It looks like the rain has landed upon us with vengeance. It had been raining here of and on with gaps of a day or two. However, yesterday evening , it poured for two hours without relenting. I was watching the plumbing work in my new house. The downpour started at five. The plumbers were about to stop their work and go home. They waited for the rain to stop. I sat in the hall watching news on my mobile phone. I could return home when the time was showing 7 pm.
But it was bigger and longer today. The downpour began when the children were getting ready for school. I dropped their mother at the school with an umbrella over our heads. I had errands to get done but I couldn't move out of the house.
The seasons come with its own blessings and woes. The rainy season brings its peculiar ones.

It was storming in my part of the US this morning and I fell asleep listening to the rain pour down. When I woke up this afternoon, it was bright and sunny outside.

It would be difficult to get errands done when the rain is so relentless.

We have had lots of rain here over the last couple of weeks but we really did need it as the water levels in the reservoir were well down and all the fields were really dry
