Looking forward to some retro pay

When the new contract went into effect at work this year duty coverages were supposed to be paid at the same rate as class coverages: $45.53 for 40 minutes. It only makes sense since you are spending the same amount of time doing both things. For whatever reason the district kept paying them at the old rate--$22.05. I still took them because $22 is $22.
Well it came to light (at least for me) that we weren't being paid at the correct rate. I just went through my copies of the vouchers and I have 11 duties that weren't paid properly. That's $257. The district is going to rectify that and issue retroactive pay over the summer. That will be a nice little bonus to my summer savings pay.

That will be great, to get that money. Of course you earned it, but it's nice they are finally paying what they should be paying all along. I'm glad for you.
