Who was right?

A video went viral this week, and some of you may have seen it on the news. A young dad had his two little girls with him, but no other female. They had to use the restroom. He waited until the women’s restroom was empty, and took the little (like 4 & 6) girls inside to use it, and then help them wash their hands. Another man, somewhat older sees this, calls the cops, and starts yelling and screaming at the man in front of his daughters, causing the girls to cry. The cops come, listen to the story, and ask the complaining man to leave. The manager of the gas station comforts the girls, and are reassured they did nothing wrong. I get why the dad didn’t want to take his daughters into the gross men’s bathroom in front of grown men. And, he waited until the restroom was empty. An update? When the video of that guy’s verbal abuse went viral, the real estate company he works for fired him.

The young father did nothing wrong. The ONLY difference between what that father did and the way I handled Pretty when she was little and needed to use the restroom was I DID take her into the men's room after I made sure nobody was in there. I asked another guy to guard the door until she was done. Nobody said a word to me when we came out and there were more guys waiting to go in. They were patient and smiled at Pretty when we came out. I thanked the other guy and we went on our way. I did do it differently when we went to Silver Dollar City... When Pretty needed to go while we were there, I watched for a woman with a little girl going in. I asked the woman if she'd mind taking Pretty in with them and thanked her when they came out.

That was a good idea. Do you think he should have lost his job?

@DaddyEvil I was thinking gas stations, and those were his words. I went into two gas station men’s bathrooms when they were empty to use the restroom, and they were disgusting. And, apparently the guy was a contractor.

@AmbiePam Thank you. If he thought screaming at the dad was the right way to do things, then he should have been censored, at least. Losing his job was, maybe, going too far, but I'm not his job manager and don't know what the man did for a living. If it was working with the public, then he should have known better than to scream at another man with young children, in my opinion. . Uhm... MOST men's bathrooms aren't "gross". When I cleaned bathrooms as part of my job, more often than not, the women's bathroom was far dirtier.

I don't think he did anything wrong at all, and I think the cops 100% made the right call. Are you saying the man who was screaming at him lost his job or that the man with the daughters lost his job? Because if it was the man with the daughters, he should file a wrongful termination suit. Even the other man might have a case, because even though he acted a fool, firing him is a serious overreaction by his company for something that didn't even happen at work.

The man who yelled lost his job. His company said he has to deal with people working for them, and it reflects poorly on their business.

I think more people are being penalized for rudeness, and maybe stories like this will get the attention of the masses.

I don't think the young dad did anything wrong. The guy complaining really needed to be more understanding of his situation.
