Surely There's Something Nice We Can Say....

Poor Trumpy. He does get the worst feedback of anyone I know. I decided to find some nice things about Trump. Things he accomplished and interesting things he has done in his earlier 80 years of life.
Trump did graduate from the University of Pennsylvania Wharton School of Business with a Bachelor of Science in Economics in May 1968 "at the top of his class". Oh, yah! There were 366 students and he came out 364th.
He started Trump University in 2005. Owned and operated by The Trump Organization it offered short-term seminars in real estate, asset management, entrepreneurship, and wealth creation. It was not an accredited university and did not grant degrees, credit, or grades. It ran from 2005 to 2010 before "ceasing operations in 2011 with lawsuits, investigations, and student complaints over aggressive sales tactics and misleading marketing."
He has also tried his luck at selling such things such as bibles, tennis shoes, liquor, board games, cologne, crypto currency, and a 12-inch figure of himself. Good going.
Trump appeared in Home Alone 2 on 1992. How'd he get the gig? He told them he'd allow filming in his Plaza Hotel if he could be in the film.
Trump bought the New Jersey Generals in the mid 80's for $9 Million. In one year, he turned them into the best team in the USFL only to have it fold soon after. (I wonder if he loses interest or just can't keep up.)
Trump persuaded the then mayor of New York, Ed Koch, to let him take over renovations of the Wollman skating rink in Central Park. He completely it early and under budget. He was a hero for a while. The only reason he did this was because he could see the construction from his office window.
So, yes, Trump has done some good things in his earlier life, accomplished some too. But there always seems to be a reason and it never seems to last. Go figure.
I tried.

You did, but you also have to take the good with the bad. For better or worse, he attended a college. If you stop to think about it, ever since school became a thing and considered inportant, parents tried pushing their children to a higher education. The school itself ultimately failed, sure, but it existed.
Trump saying he wanted to be included in Home Alone 2, for the use of his hotel. Not a bad thing. Many people would've said 'no' or asked for millions of dollars and still said 'no'. And, Trump, to his credit, had a blink and you'll miss it moment in the movie.

It's nice that you are such a humanitarian. That's all fine and good for your psyche. I do hope he gets out of office speedily and that we can get this country back to a normal state of being. He has done a lot of damage which I will never forgive him for.

@celticeagle I think it would do you some good to let go of your personal bises. While Trump won't be able to run for President again, His son could, or anyone else you don't personally like. Trump proved not once, but twice that the system our fourfathers set in place works, and if you meet the bare bones requirements, you can become president. You just have to run and hope you win.
If you focus on the bad, you'll never be able to see the good. You see what Trump's done bad, but I see it as a natural direction that we were bound to go in.

@kaylachan ........that's certainly your right as it is mine to hope he and his family are never voted into office again. As long as I have been speaking out about this man and any slight knowledge of my personality would, i would think, tell you I will never change my opinion of this man. I cannot believe Americans would let one of his offspring be voted into office. How horrible.
If life is going in his direction I am glad I don't have much more time here. I still believe in the goodness of mankind and I really hope goodness will win out.

The best thing I can say is that he's making Richard Nixon look like a terrific president. And improving the all-time worst president, Warren G. Harding, significantly.
