It's Only the First of Summer

Today is June 21, 2026. The summer solstice has begun. There was quite a crowd at Stone Henge this morning. I am not a summer person. My favorite time of year is the Fall. It's cool, pretty earth colors.
The Northern Hemisphere is tilted closest to the sun and that makes for the longest day and the shortest night.
I hope that all of you that venture out make time for your garden or go to one. We have some lovely parks here in Boise and it is known as the City of Trees.
I hope you all enjoy this first day of Summer.

Summer is already over here. It has always been my favorite season since I was a kid because it's the beach season and it's a school break, the end of school year vacation.
There are only two seasons here, the rainy season and the summer. And the rainy season here can be depressing especially if there are typhoons.

Especially this year I am grabbing hold of summer. I love being able to bring in to hubby even a few raspberries. I love to sit in the backyard swing.
