The not so United Kingdom is about to have a seventh Prime Minister in ten years, Italian turnover numbers. It's all gone to sh*t since Brexit. This was another internal coup, this time by the ruling Labour Party, who get into power with a huge majority. but PM Starmer lost control of his left wing in the party and they quickly plotted to bring him down and seize power. The Labour left couldn't ever get in with public votes at elections so took their chance mid-term.
The thing that narks is these rebels have done it to get well paid ministerial jobs rather than change the country for good. It's just greed and opportunism. I wasn't a big fan for Starmer but did vote for him. He's dull and hasnt really been dynamic enough to turn things around , just managing decline, which is the job to be fair as debt and A.I take over western economies.
The next person will be anointed on July 8th, the day names must be entered to stand to be the party's new leader. Andy Burnham is favourite,a career politician that could do a decent job. Whoever wins they won't last long as the merry-go-round will continue...

It took far too long for him to accept that he really was not string enough. He has the personality of a wilted lettuce. I am not surprised in the least & pleased he will finally be going. Hopefully dopey Rachel will go with him!
