I recieved a hand - written letter today.
It was a hand - written letter I recieved after years. Hand- written letters are rare these days. Nobody now writes letters with their hands. Emails and WhatsApp messages have become the norm.
Do you ever write letters with your pen on a piece of paper??
I do. I still prefer writing letters with my pen.
What about you??

Hand written letters are nice, but I don't write them..because I don't have good handwriting.

Thank you. I agree with you that hand written letters are nice. They have a feel- a feel of the hands of those who are your near and dear ones. Messages are just mechanical.
My hand writing is not good either, but it can be read.

It's sad that the able-boddied community has gotten away from using their hands to put pen to paper. As a blind woman, I can hide behind the excuse of blindness. But, even I was tought to write longhand. If it's a skill you can use, you should.

@Shivram59 i know, it's barely being taught in today's schools anymore. I personally can't, but who's to say those who can shouldn't?

Thank you. That's what most people do. I can't remember a single day when I didn't write at least two pages with my pen. I used my phone only for calling someone or on mylot

Thank you. I still love writing with my pen on a white, un- lined paper. I write everything in Hindi. There are no capital letters in Hindi. Writing is a skill and I use it. I used my phone only on mylot.

Thank you. I now rarely recieve hand written letters. But if ever I recieve one, the postman himself comes to my house and hands over it to me. I don't have to go to the post office.

@Shivram59 it'd be nice if the postman can just deliver it to me

I do still write them, but not nearly as much as I did twenty years ago, of course. I normally write them to older people who aren’t checking email constantly, or maybe they are one of the few who doesn’t use email at all. My late grandma worked so much of her life with computers, and the day she retired was the last day she ever used email or got on a computer. So, I always wrote her handwritten letters.
People tend to save handwritten letters, don’t they.

Thank you. Writing with my pen is something I love to do. Whatever I learn, I note it down on my notebook. I write diary as well. I often write letters to my friends who have settled in big and distant cities, but they reply me on WhatsApp and email.
They no longer use pen and paper to write. I ask me to write letters to me, but they mock me saying that I'm still living in old days.

for birthdays, i always wrote cards or letters but not anymore. i hated one time when a friend didn't want to see me but she wrote me a letter instead. that hurt me so, for me, letters before sms messages but number 1 is seeing people in person.
