Wishful Thinking

Good afternoon myLotters! Hope your Tuesday is going well.
We had some torrential rain last night which caused flooding in some surrounding areas but thankfully everything is okay here . It's been a rainy day but nothing heavy or torrential so hopefully the rain will be a big help.
I know I've mentioned in previous posts that one of my biggest gripes is that my neighbor across the street is always parked in front of my house.
Last week we noticed that she was loading up the trunk of her SUV with all sorts of stuff, leaving and coming back and doing it all over again. The best we could assume is that she was moving. No love lost on our part and we would be more than happy to wave good-bye.
Don't know if she's married to the guy who also lives there or if she's a renter. All we know is he has two cars and both are always in his driveway. When he's not home she does park in the driveway but then she moves her car to the front of our house when he comes home.
If she was a nice neighbor and sociable it might be different. But, she's anti-social and doesn't even say hi.
Anyway, after two days of her loading her car it disappeared for over a week and we were doing the happy dance.
Yesterday it's back
Same old car, same old person doing the same old thing.
Guess it was just wishful thinking on our part that she moved.
Now it's even more curious as to what she was loading in her car, didn't bring back and where she was. Any thoughts?

Every so often I'll see a U-haul at our neighbor's and it's back and forth for a day or two. Perhaps she's downsizing or moving some things to storage? Sounds like that and possibly taken a trip somewhere, too.

You're probably right. Either way it doesn't seem as if she's going anywhere permanently

I can relate to wanting to be home on a rainy day. Hope your day went well in spite of the rainy weather

Yeah I'm really disappointed that it was a false alarm and that she'll be parking her car in front of my house for eternity
Glad you didn't get any flooding there.

I was happy when the neighbor down the street who I am not a fan of..although he has done a couple of nice things had his house up for sale..but I don't think it sold..no evidence of that. Not sure why..seemed a reasonable asking price..There are a lot of extras with that place.

I'm always nosey when someone in my neighborhood is selling and I check online to see the price and if and when it sells.

Probably had a place to sell the stuff and made money and came back,

That certainly is possible. Hope she made enough money to move

Hmmm. Maybe she's decluttering. I can't imagine what else it would be.
