ever played ping pong ball? Table tennis?

When I was a kid I loved to play badminton. I rarely had anybody to smack the ball back and forth with. My Mom and I had some great laughs over our attempts to be graceful.
Yesterday I had my appointment with the oncologist. He was a nice enough man. I'm trying to think what the new news was that I came away with. Not much. No surgery date. More tests. The lab was right down the corridor, so I consented to having blood drawn. That left me a trembling mess but I got it done. I also went away with the news that I am expected to go through two more scans. These scans involve IVs- contrast in the blood. One is for an overall bone density test. I can't imagine going through two of these scans. I will agree to one but not the bone density test. I know I should but I just can't. The Doc wants to figure out why on my constant pain level. Why do my ribs hurt? I barely made it through the lab.
I detest the okayness of the concept of comparing. I hate hearing that Suzi Q had a tougher time or Johnny H. didn't or whatever and whoever. I am me and those folks are they.
I hope everyone here is staying out of storm paths and enjoying a good meal and maybe even sitting under a fan. My weather is back to cool and breezy rain.

Would taking the dog with you help with the needles? Many places will work with you anymore.

@wolfgirl569 I asked about that. Emotional support means nothing to people in the clinics. He has to be certified by a professional organization.

@wolfgirl569 I love your idea. Last year I took Rufus with me to a blood draw and for sure it helped. That was in another clinic. I brought up the idea of bringing him to these folks and they all said no. The poops.

@Marilynda1225 Thanks. The Doc mentioned that maybe I would need another biopsy? I said no as firmly as I had breath to do so with.

Oh, how I wish I were there. Not that I would much help with my lack of energy, but we’re so helpless so far away from you.
I know you’re strong, and you can can do what needs to be done. You’re doing more than you thought you could every day. You just keep doing what you’re capable of.

The bone density scan would be a piece of cake However, I guess the worst news would be if cancer has spread to your bones. That would be very worrisome. I wonder why they haven't scheduled the surgery yet? Yes, I am good at ping pong..used to have a table..I guess you are feeling like the ball though.

.@snowy22315 It's a whole body density scan. I V drip and laying on a platform. Not easy for me.

So sorry to hear you are going through this. I have very little faith in the entire traditional medical community. My experience has not been good. But unidentified pain needs to be addressed. I am a big fan of naturopathic medicine, much more personal and less machinery. I will keep you in my prayers and if you agree, I can put you on our prayer line.
