Happy Friday everyone! Today is my youngest granddaughters birthday. She's 17 and it's just crazy how fast time flies by. I know we say it all the time but today it really hit how fast it's gone. She's the only June birthday and next month is another big month of multiple birthdays in our family. Then a reprieve until October. Whew my bank account will be collecting dust by October

Nothing much going on today. My daughter works half days on Fridays through the summer. We don't have any plans per se for the weekend. I know she has an appointment tomorrow for a hair cut so I might tag along and then maybe we'll run some errands or have lunch out or something. Guess it all depends on the weather. Rain supposedly. Tonight is an easy dinner. We get these lightly breaded chicken tenders at Sams Club which are delicious. They are easy enough to pop in the air fryer with some baking potatoes and just need to add a veggie. Dinner is done in less than an hour with barely any cleanup.

That's my day so far. Anything exciting planned for the weekend or vacation this summer?

I have steak tips that I will do for supper, which we both love and I am looking forward to. Grandpa is bringing home 3L of freshly picked strawberries. I won't have time to wash them tonight, but you know that I will tomorrow and then there will be some fresh strawberries and shortcake to be had. I wish your sweet granddaughter a happy birthday and another fun trip around the sun. We have just 1 birthday this month, my baby brother's was on the 23rd, but we have the anniversaries of both of our parents within a month's span. My mother's was on June 11th, and Dad passed on July 4th. His is far enough in the past that now I can recall some of his funny and sweet moments of his life that I have tucked away in my memory.

I got my air fryer today from buying it on Prime Day, and I’m pretty happy. I was able to save up enough Amazon gift cards to not have to spend a dollar, so I was doubly pleased. I’m going to try to make it three weeks in a row and go to church Sunday. My dad will be preaching, and since he’s retiring at the end of the year I don’t want to miss his sermons. Seventeen seems like such a long time ago! That’s such an exciting time in life; so many possibilities everywhere you turn. Those were fun years. Happy birthday to your granddaughter!
