Something I saw this morning reminded me of just how vast the US is. As he prepare to swelter here in the East..(I think the Midwest already is sweltering) in the mountains of the West they are preparing for a winter storm poised to spread 4 to 6 inches of snow. I will probably be dreaming of snow as our temps will be above the hundred degree mark on at least one day in the upcoming week. Ahh, to be in the mountain west. I was watching Life Below Zero last night for another snow fix.

It would be a good time to plan a ski trip.

@snowy22315 - In less than 1 hour we can be on top of a cool mountain. There is s small cogwheel train going up there. Should my husband be better I would go.

@LadyDuck Maybe you should hire a driver. Do you have Uber there?

We watch a Canadian morning show and we see the weather from coast to coast to coast, so kind of used to it.
I was thinking last night that the heat that they predicted coming, got me to thinking about cold weather.
A couple of our blankets are getting thin, and this morning I picked up a nice new thin cotton quilt for the bed. It feels like the perfect weight and since the temperature is basically the same inside between the a/c and furnace, it will feel good snuggling under that.

I am glad you mentoned that. It is time to put the weighted blanket back on the bed. That is cool.

@Juliaacv It bums me out because there is a stain on the weighted blanket. (It's white) I don't know what it is.

@snowy22315 This quilt with 2 shams was marked down down down, so I thought that the $32 pricetag was decent, but when I went to the check out, she asked if I had a loyalty account there, which I do, and I got another $10 off of that. Pretty affordable blanket in my eyes, even though the shams are terribly undersized and will not fit our pillows, as I buy kind sized pillows.

Well, looks like people are braving high temperatures in many parts of the Northern Hemisphere.
Be it a tropical country, temperate or a mix area like ours.
In fact, while some tropical countries have a history of using ACs, many temperate ones are suffering as many do not even have ceiling fans.

Winter here can be a pain in the butt..but I prefer it to summer. This past winter though was pretty awful..I was trapped in here by ice and snow for several days.

We will probably get a big drop in temps at some point because the weather aways balances out. Day at 70 degrees..bring it on!
