The Eyes and Ocular Malnutrition

I remember back when I was pre-school age and living at my maternal grandparent's place. My great grandmother was there for the last years of her life. She lived until she was 96 and was blind. I remember bringing her meals and entertaining her while my grandmother was outside. I would take Reader's Digest magazines and pretend to read to her. She was able it seemed up until the day she died to piece together squares of fabric like you do to make a quilt. She did that a lot. To this day I have a lot about my eyes. I am very careful to rest them and make sure I am eating all the nutrients I need to for healthy eyes. I take a multi- vitamin, so I know I am getting Vitamin A, Vitamin B, E, and C. Folate and Choline are important too. Also, I get Lutein and zeaxanthin for nerve health. I think that we as humans take a lot for granted when it comes to our eyes. As I have aged, I have become concerned. I really cannot imagine being without my vision.

Vision is among the most important, My eyes are bright and shiny and when I go to bed I take my glasses off so I can read the fine print in book because with my glasses on it is blurry, Also any fine print I need to take my glasses off,

I think so. I wish I could preserve these organs of mine. They are not like they used to be.

I think there are worse things but yes, it would be awful not to be able to see.

I can relate to what you are saying since I get eye exams once or twice a year.
