No one to talk to

Oh my, I have this friend who always message me and it seems that she has no one to talk to and that she has nothing to do in their house. We use to talk and chat but I noticed something in her that is not right. Usually friends who talk and chat on messaging apps listen to each other, like exchange of conversation , the other is listening when the other is speaking and vice versa. But with her, its always her who is talking and Im always listening. At first its okay , but as soon as she sends me a message the topic will be her love life , the boys she is talking to and nothing else. Lately , I found out she's editing pics of her and a guy , she uses apps and tools that will make it look like she is with the guy, like they are together, but they're not she diddnt know that I know its edited. She's doing it frequently now and uploading it on her social media. A common friend noticed it and called her out but instead of deleting the pics she said its real. And now I am slowly losing trust and interest in her. I am separating myself with her because its not healthy to he talking with her. I dont trust her that much now. And since Im ignoring her on social media, she sends me a lot of message and I dont read them now. I feel pity on her but she insisted on doing things, she is not listening to us and keeps on doing what she thinks is right. Fellow lotters, have you encountered a friend or someone just like her?

I don't deal with people who don't listen. If this one is talking and I go to respond and they keep talking, I leave.

I think when someone isn’t living in reality it probably is better to separate yourself from them.

@AmbiePam And its scary being friends with a person who is living in a made up world. Shes not telling the truth and everything is made up.

I would be distancing myself too even if you feel sorry for her. I think she is really creating problems for herself.

the friend obviously needs psychiatric care. There's a chap in the district that when he doesn't take his medication will babble without stop.

I would avoid that kind of a ‚friend‘ who is just talking about herself. A kind of self centred person.

Sometimes there are just people who want someone to listen to them, and I used to be like that before. As an introvert, I’m more focused on listening than speaking, and they actually enjoy it. But when you realize that they are doing something that could get them into trouble, just give them some advice. Sometimes, the truth helps them realize something.

i had a similar friend or a colleague and it wasn't working out. she kept on talking about herself. i remember she invited me for a tea and my throat was upset that day and she didn't give me the tea so i asked her but she said okay and kept talking. i don't remember did i got the tea or not but, yes. these kind of people are red flags and edting she is with people, not cool.
