Yesterday I read an unbelievable story about a place called Miranda's Rescue in Humboldt County in California. On June 23rd still a second warrant was written on the property. Even the FBI is involved. A neighbor had reported a burial pit with 8 dead dogs. Officials said some of the animals looked as if they had been shot. A horse and a dog were uncovered. Ground penetrating radar found anomalies and 100 dead dogs found. Some had microchips.
A detective later wrote about a money-making scheme. Animals had been taken saying they'd be rehomed.
730 animals are still missing.
I was sickened and maddened by this I can't tell you what all went through my mind. I'm sure you can imagine. The lengths people will go to in making money never ceases to amaze me.

That is extremely sad. I hope they lock everyone involved up

I do hope they get them all too. With the FBI involved it must be pretty wide spread.

It is a shame that some people make money by killing animals that could be finding homes with other families that could use the pets as companions.

That is just awful. How would they be making money from it? By posing as a charity?
