The phone is silent, I don't even feel like turning it back on

So, I was at yoga earlier today before I did my errands, and put my phone on Do Not Disturb so it wouldn't go off in class which it has once or twice, and I always have those pesky notifications. I have been home about an hour, and I still haven't turned it back on. I am enjoying the silence. Do you ever turn your phone off, and leave it off for a while just because it feels nice to be disengaged, and unbothered?

I just do it for church. I am so conditioned after years of being needed to help with my mom via her daycare, her doctor, or my dad, that I don’t think about turning it off except for church or a solemn occasion.

I sure do turn it to silent mode, and love it. Every Monday morning before I begin work it goes to silent mode and remains there until I finish working on Friday afternoon. Otherwise it is only a distraction when you consider that there is voicemail and you can see who has called even if they do not leave a message. I do not let my phone run my life, otherwise it could, we all know that.

@snowy22315. Mine is always on silent so I only know if anyone has called when I check it. Once I retired I decided I’d had enough of being available. My wife keeps hers on and the kids know to call her. It’s so lovely knowing that no-one can get me.

I turn mine off for church and sometimes do forget to turn it on. I really should not as we are having lots of doctor appointments.

I don't but I get very few calls on my phone anyway. I'm off to yoga shortly. I wonder if it will ring! lol
