Back on June 28, 1838, Alexandrina Victoria was crowned Queen of the United Kingdom. She was eighteen years old. Her uncle King William IV had died just one year and eight days previously. A crowd of 400,000 watched the procession through London to Westminster Abbey where there was a lavish ceremony. The Victorian Era continued until Queen Victoria's reign ended upon her death on January 22, 1901. The picture is of her at 18 from images.deepai.org

You know I would never want to be queen; too much responsibility and my life is no longer my own.

Oh, that's for sure. And so many rules.

What a responsibility to be handed at just 18. I wouldn't want it.

Same here. But in the royal families they didn't have a choice.
