I Really Thought Having My Doc Come To My Home Was Such A Great Idea But...?

So back when I talked to my doctor's assistant (mid-May I believe), he said the doctor would come toward the end of June. The second time I spoke to him he said the same. I haven't seen him. Today I called the assistant when I looked on the portal and saw a tentative appointment for tomorrow at 2p. He said that was just put in there, not a valid time or date. That's what I was told last time. He said they are looking at 2-3 weeks from now. Okay. Nothing going on or anything. It's no big deal; I just like to know what is expected of me and what is going on so I can plan. The cats let this new vinyl floor get their fur twirling around on it. My daughter sweeps every other day. I just don't want that to be happening when he comes. I still really like the doc coming to me instead of the other way around (or a Telehealth call). So, a little notice ahead please.

I can’t believe there are doctors who still make house calls. That’s amazing.

I thought so too. I jumped on it when I found this one. Since I don't go out it helps a lot.

@akalinus .......my grandmother was our doctor when I was a child. You had to be really sick before we went to a doctor.

@celticeagle maybe when I was a child decades ago, one did but I remember traveling to the doctor mostly.

I didn't even know any doctors made house calls anymore. That's not an option I've seen around here.

@celticeagle I didn't know anyone even still did those, so that's pretty cool. It's good that you don't have any urgent issues.

I jumped on it when I was looking and sure glad I found him. Since I don't go out it's sure nice to have one that comes in. Now if I could just get him here. I'm not too worried. No issues or anything that needs attention right away.

They seem to think you have nothing to do but wait around for them.

Life seems to be a waiting game.
