62 days til the ber months! Foxy is back. I got startled again last night when I noticed him snoozing on the chaise lounge. I rapped on the glass a few times but he was reluctant to leave until I banged on the window. I am going to try vinegar soaked rags. They also recommend clanging pots and pans and possibly an air horn to get them to scatter. I just don't want him hanging around that close to the house. Plenty of woods just off the deck with comfy places to sleep I am sure. I was thinking seriously of letting Nico get some outside time with a cat enclosure..but the ones I have been eyeing would not be fox proof. The one I already bought seems flimsy am sending it back. Unless I can get a suitable one..kind of doubtful in my price range. He will have to stick to the window.

I would let him sleep there. They usually don't bother adult cats

When you have a fox sleeping on your chaise lounge you can do as you wish.
. When son lived in an apartment, his cat got chased by a fox all the time..and had to run up trees.

Just now
@wolfgirl569 Umm, don't think so..
. An urban fox like where he was living only has so many options in terms of meals. Foxes can be playful though and coyotes too. One day my friend's ball she used to play with her dog with turned up missing..She later spotted it with a fox. He thought that ball looked like fun!

@snowy22315 I have seen fox climb trees too. If the cat had been willing to play it could have had a friend.

@snowy22315 - It's safer and you never know if they could bring a disease.

Yes, especially with a cat. He stays inside but there are times I have had the back door open since the top part is a screen and he likes to lay there. He would be just a foot away from the fox. Ahh- no!

I hope you can find a way to deter that fox who seems very comfortable on your lounge. Otherwise you might have to start charging him rent
