Van Gogh is on the wall ……

We went to Amsterdam for my 60th Birthday and the one place I wanted to go to was the Van Gogh museum.
Years ago I watched a film of his life, Kirk Douglas played him, and I was captivated by his story ….
I thoroughly enjoyed visiting the museum and we bought a giant poster of ‘ Sunflowers ‘.
We had to get a frame especially made as it was an awkward size.
Anyway, the frame was ready and we collected it this morning.
The Mister has just hung it on the wall in the living room …..it looks fabulous.

It was brilliant at the museum ….apart from paintings there were letters he had written to his brother ….and personal photos …

I have watched that movie with Kirk Douglas and it was good.
I have not been to Van Gogh Museum yet in Amsterdam although I have been there in Amsterdam often times. Did you visit the Rijksmuseum? I have been there and the paintings were great especially the Night Watch. I would love to visit it again.
