I Think I'm Liking Having Groceries Delivered Instead of Picking Them Up

I just placed my third grocery order - this one to be delivered Monday morning between 6 and 7 am. They just leave them outside my door. I have found that with delivery, you get everything you order because it's coming from a warehouse vs picking up at the store which often has limited quantities. Our "membership" to our local grocery store provides us with free delivery, so why not? Hubby isn't convinced yet. He doesn't like change.

We have a Walmart + membership but our local Walmart doesn't deliver. My older brother brings our pick-up order from Walmart store to us twice a month. Once, he was sick so our older neighbor brought our pick-up order to us. A lot of the time, they don't have everything we order. It doesn't come from a warehouse here. It's from the Walmart store itself. When I can't see to drive, Walmart here isn't the best store. But neither is any other store. We live in too small a town for the Walmart to deliver. They say it isn't cost effective to deliver here. It is 70 miles for the next biggest city to deliver to us so they won't bring our groceries, either.

Could you get Amazon delivery for your groceries? Non-perishable, of course.

@LooeyVille Amazon will throw stuff at our house but who wants to go collect everything they order off the grass? Once in a while, we get a nice person who will set stuff on the railing on our porch or hang something on our doorknob.

@DaddyEvil That's a shame. We have wonderful delivery people here who are polite, efficient, and professional and always gently place the items on our porch (FedEx, UPS, Amazon, Kroger)

Getting things delivered is more convenient than going to the store and the fact that the delivery is free is a cherry on the cake

I thought it was kind of a fun novelty when I got my groceries delivered.

My Mom has her groceries delivered. She is very grateful because lately, it is harder for her to get around.

I was so glad that my grocery delivery went so well yesterdayt the Fourth, I had a clever lady delivering from Walmert, She put the groceries in a little cart she had on wheels and then just rolled up to the porch and unloaded,

I am too picky for that. I like to select my own fruit and veg and The Mister laughs at me as I check every tin for dents …..the slighted dent and I wont buy it.

No one delivers where I live, but I can get "shipped". So no perishables. Still nice not to wrestle with the heavy or bulky things and to only handle them one time, from my door to put away.

I sometimes get a delivery. They come from the local supermarket and while the delivery price hasn't gone up, the size of order has increased

We like having our groceries delivered. No doubt about that I'm sure your husband will come round and see the advantages of a home delivery
