Blood test is booked.

Mom had to book a blood test …just a routine one , she rang this morning to make the appointment.
The only appointment they said they had was 9am tomorrow.
She doesn’t drive in the centre of town…..where the Drs is ….and she can’t use her free bus pass til half past 9.
Looks like she is going to have to pay for a taxi.
The next available appointment was 4 weeks away…..by then she would be out of tablets so she couldn’t wait that long.
What’s bother !

I know, the free bus pass can’t be used before 9.30am….who decided elderly folk can’t go out till after 9.30 ….

Here in India, you can book a blood test or any kind of pathology test via app, and home collection is available within few hours....there are multiple service providers, even if one wants to get it done from hospitals, they too have home collection facility at a slight higher fees

@Rimps85 I can’t infer anything on your post ! You said book a blood test and home collection is available. You didn’t say a Phlebotomist comes to your house . You didn’t make it clear …..and that doesn’t happen here .

@Traceyjayne did I say so?? or did you infer that ways? I said "book" a blood test...so, phlebotomist will visit your home and collect blood samples, take it back to the lab and test it (as advised by doctor) and send the result via WhatsApp...
