"All my troubles seemed so far away..."
Nope. This isn't about that.
I went to the Centre yesterday, then Juanita came down about 3pm and took me grocery shopping. After bringing me home to put my stuff in the freezer, she asked me what I wanted to do 'now' so I said I wanted to ride the merrygoround. Here in St Catharines (Port Dalousie part) there's an antique carousel with hand-carved horses, etc..The tails are real horsehair, and it only costs a nickel to ride. So, we did. The music is reminiscent of old-fashioned English seaside holiday camps (not that I've ever been to one, but must have seen them in movies).
After our ride we went to Kilt and Clover (a pub) and I had a pint and she had wings. It really did feel like a mini-vacation.

@BarBaraPrz It is very nice.
Since he was a student, we were never out there during the really hot months in order to enjoy the water.
We did see the tall ships anchored there once, that was interesting.
