You can tell it is July

June is for lightning bugs, July is for Cicadas. They are beginning their evening songs. The other thing I am noticing in my July evenings is the sweet smell of my lavender plants. One of my varieties is planted right near where Bob and I sit. Tomorrow is a Bob to a doctor day, so I am heading to bed just a tad early. More like I should be.

In all of June, I saw a total of 3 fireflies. Since July started, I have started seeing some every evening. I was starting to wonder where they all were!! I have a huge bed of lavender. It spreads and I am always giving away starts of it....the honey bees love the lavender, they never bite me, they just want the lavender. And it's close to the front porch, it smells so good outside now when I go out there. I hope Bob's doctor visit goes well and that you both get some sleep.
