Do you buy branded merchandise?

I don’t generally wear or use branded merchandise unless I find a bank pen I accidentally walked away in possession. So have you heard of Longhorn Steakhouse (it’s fairly popular here)? A young man from Cameroon decided four years ago to save up his money to go to the World Cup in America in 2026. He even ended up selling his car. While he was here, he went to Longhorn Steakhouse, which he loved. He made a video on FB about how much he enjoyed his stay, and how friendly they were, and it went viral. Longhorn Steakhouse saw it, and invited him and his family back for a feast. He tried the Parmesan encrusted steak this time, then a chicken dish with a loaded baked potato. At the end, they had a huge cake for him. At the end of the night, they gave him hundreds of dollars worth of branded swag, including a Longhorn Steakhouse bib for his little baby. He’s never going to forget his trip for so many reasons!

Unless it say's US Army on it, most of my clothing is blank.

I don’t usually go for branded clothes as I think they are very expensive. I do like branded food and drink though …..some ‘own brands’ are good but I maybe a food snob ….i like what I like …. However. If a company wanted to give me a freebie. Maybe in exchange for a review. I wouldn’t say no.

That is a feel good story for sure. I might wear branded items if they were gifts.

T-shirts with characters, celebrity images and names, and music company logos, are my favorite thing to collect. I have everything from The Simpsons to Imogen Heap to De Wolfe Music, I've got all these nifty things.

@AmbiePam Thanks. Some don't fit me anymore, which is a real shame especially with rarer ones where only redesigned versions are available now.

No, not really. If I like a product I would buy it regardless of its brand.

That sounds amazing. I will buy and wear branded things, but not if they're outrageously priced. When we go on trips, sometimes we'll buy something that is branded as a souvenir. My son has a bunch of shirts from places we have been. I'm more of a graphic T-shirt kind of person, though.

That's amazing. Longhorn served as goodwill ambassadors in this case too. If someone appreciates their brand, they appreciate them!

That's so cool! I always buy branded for quality and long lasting use, lol! Can you believe that one of my shirt that I am still using today I bought it if not ten - it was 11 years ago. The money I spent was so worth it. Super sulit! haha worth it means sulit in tagalog. I only have 3 dresses and I bought them 7 years ago.

I love it when clothes actually last. I have a shirt I bought 23 years ago, and I still get compliments on it.

Oh HECK no. About the only brand name I do buy is Sketchers. Unless it’s funny: I used to have a “7-Up” t-shirt with the “cool face” dot between “7” and “up” sticking its tongue out. I’m happy to buy shirts to tell you where I’ve been, though, like my Four Corners t-shirt that I got last year (happy to buy it, too, to support members of the Indigenous tribes who had booths there).
