It is a really treat to see the jackfruits hanging from the trees. They appear in different sizes. They are eaten in bengal both as a vegetable and also as a fruit. The seeds of the fruit is also boiled and eaten with rice.

As a vegetable, we cook the unripe jackfruit in coconut milk and other spices. As a fruit, we eat them ripe as is. I grew up in a property with two jackfruit trees, and I enjoyed watching every fruit grow big for picking.

Do you have jackfruits growing at your house? Or do you only have the garden on your balcony?

@sathviksouvik Oh, I see. Some fruit trees in the US are miniature but still grow full-sized fruits. I thought maybe jackfruits were like that, too.
