My tongue and belly are well satisfied tonight and it didn’t even annoy me having to pay out more cash than I would normally spend on food. It happened in an Indian restaurant on the outskirts of Manchester. There were 8 of us but one didn’t count since he’s just 3 weeks old and I had him in my arms most of the night. Please believe me when I report that the food was beyond superior. My masala dosa was such an unexpected treat and the peshwari naan was sweet with almonds, raisins and cherries. Everybody in our party was in awe at how wonderful the food was. On the table were Goan fish curry, chicken tikka jalfrezi, chicken biryani, lamb Karahi and a few more dishes and we all got stuck in, marvelling as we went. The waiter was a marvel too. I’m normally quite fault-finding with restaurants, but no faults were found here. Have you ever been deeply satisfied by a restaurant visit?

There are a few restaurants that I patronize every so often. Looks like you had a wonderful feast at that Indian restaurant. I love chicken biryani and egg masala. I can only tolerate the medium spicy biryani. We dared to order biryani at an Indian restaurant in California two years ago. It was super spicy that we had to drink lots of soda and water and milk to be able to finish our lunch.

Glad to see you write about food and not have any complaints. It's been a while since I could say the same. Today though in Fort Augustus, we had really good White Pudding and Chips. A lovely day, warm and sunny, lots of nice touristy people around. A fine drive there and back, two different roads. Both our Indian Restaurant back home are not very good.

There is a really excellent Thai food restaurant an hour drive from our house that we love. I'm glad you enjoyed your Indian foods and holding your grandchild all evening.

I'm glad that at least this one met with your approval. Our son and his wife like Indian food. I'm not so keen on it. I've very boring with my tastes.

I do remember a restaurant in Quebec City Canada where a restaurant called Esplanade sold pizzas that were the best tasting meal when my relatives went on vacation in 1976.
