They Dressed Alike

I sort of get why parents dress their kids alike, especially twins, but not when people are adults I’ve even seen husbands and drives dress in a similar fashion using the same color schemes But I’m watching a court tv show and the defendant who is a woman and her wife, who is a woman, are dressed exactly alike. Same shirts, same pants, same jackets, and same jewelry I don’t get it. They look stupid in my opinion Generic photo from Internet

My sis mom and I have some matching shirts, and jammies. We just wear them for fun and take a picture. It isn't hurting anybody..and is fun for us. I have seen whole families dressed in the same jammies for Christmas.

@looeyville My wife and I refrain from such silliness. People would stare and write about us on Mylot.

Even with twins in the family, I have never ever given it a thought. I have 2 younger brothers, who while we were growing up, were almost the same size, and at time the very same size. My mother would buy one brother a specific pair of underwear and jeans, and the other would get another brand. But there were not alot of places to shop, so quite often they were mistaken for twins, as their shirts often matched. They never cared.

I know what you mean when identical twins when they are adults dressing alike is dumb unless it is part of a television show or a sitcom,

On Saturdays, when they’d be able to relax and dress down my dad would always get my mom to wear her OU (where they both got their Masters) shirt, jacket, and sneakers (that he bought her). My mom kind of rolled her eyes, but we both thought it was cute so she did it. I can’t really see them doing that all the time. As for actual twins, I don’t know; there is such an unusual bond so while grown twins might seem unusual to match, I don’t think much of it. I know four sets, and all of them quit matching as soon as they were old enough to dress themselves.

Like you, it does seem a bit strange to me, but that's just me.

I would find that peculiar. I remember when there was something of a fashion for 'his and hers' matching outfits in the 70s.

To each his own but I would find that pretty weird too.
