Today George and I completely passed each other and moved like ghosts in the house.. I was doing laundry and checking out a noise that set our home pod in the gerage off . George had turned off the t.v. and come into the living room. I come in from the gerage with the laundry, and he sees me as I enter the hall to the bedrooms and goes 'I thought you were in the bedroom'. It took me a second to realize he was in the living room poutting on shoes. And, I thought he was still watching t.v. Now he's outside and during his trip to the mailbox, he picks up the walker, holds it several inches off the ground and walks without its aid. Post stroke life can be kinda funny.

It's easy to do when you are used to someone being around

Yeah, I'll say. It's funny but a little scarry at the same time. Either way, last night was more on the funny side of things.

The hallways at the hospital where I had my test today were so long that Bob finally accepted a wheel chair ride. I wish he would use walking aids. He shuffles and is slow. We pass each other quietly as well. It can make4 for some surprises.

That's how George walks after the stroke. More of a scoot instead of actual steps. It's funny because yesterday, when he was checking the mail, he took the walker. And at least twice he lifted the walker in the air and basically scooted along without it.

George seems to be doing really well these days. That happens sometimes with my daughter and myself

Glad he is challenging himself.
