Emergency crews in Moore Oklahoma answered an emergency call from a woman who was alerted by 2 children who told the woman who were inside her home that 2 other children who were with then 2 of their friends were swimming in a creek that began to swell due to a storm that hit the creek while two juveniles needed to be rescued in the heavily wooded area on Wednesday.
Moore Firefighters sent a crew of firefighters to the wooded creek to rescue the two juveniles who needed to be rescued after the two other juveniles managed to get out of the creek to speak to the neighbor who contacted 911 to ask for help to rescue the 2 other juveniles were in the waterway after 40 minutes when the firefighters were able to rescue them.
All four children were reunited with their parents who most likely lectured their children of the dangers of swimming in the creek during a thunderstorm.
Hopefully the four children will learn a lesson about swimming in water during a thunderstorm since no one was hurt in the rescue.

Sometimes when I'm out on my bike I see crews out training in the creeks for this sort of emergency.

@TheHorse - I'm not sure. I've just seen them out in the creek using the rope lines and stuff. I only get a few seconds to take it in.

@Deepizzaguy I wonder how the two got stranded. I've done my share of wading through creeks in my day.

Thank goodness all four were rescued. Another good day and hope these kids learned a good lesson.

Glad they were rescued but these children should not have been out and about alone and the parents not knowing where they were,

I am in agreement with you that hopefully the kids learned a lesson not to be swimming in the creek when the weather gets bad. .

Not the brightest for sure, but kids don't anticipate anything bad happening.

It's dangerous to be in the creek when there's an impending storm or incoming rains from the mountain for it will create a flash flood.
