Help, I Got Jury Duty

Then my brother received a notice three days later. I told my sister she better go run and hide. She has been waiting for hers, so last time when I went to get the mail. I came in and messed with her you have jury duty too. Nah its just a bill, rather have jury duty. She told me California passed a law you supposed to get a full day of wages. If that is the case I bet a lot of homeless would love jury duty. We not sure if that is the case, but on the mail, they told me to log in the county website where I will be given a jury number. I am like hold your horses, don't lawyers have to ask me bunch of questions before become a jury member. I do not want to, I am scared, all that law enforcement all in one place. I will wait till the last minute. What if they tell me I am juror number 9 and I then made t shirt, and went to courthouse with shirt that says "I am juror number 9". You think they would say, no you are not, you are excused, but first wear these fancy bracelets. Jury duty is scary, can you put me in front of My old Marine Drill instructors instead.?

I had jury duty last year. It wasn't bad. The worst part was sitting through them trying to find jurors out of the people. That took 2 days. The actual trial and deliberation part was interesting. I got full pay from work for the 3 days that I missed.

Yeah that's the worse part for me, I do not like when they ask personal questions, I do nothing illegal but i do not live by corporate America standards and make a lot less than everyone that will be there.

@NJChicaa The first time I had jury duty was crazy, there was so many people and I was just standing by the wall. They come on the microphone if you group g or some crap you are free to go we have enough people and the whole place just has neck jerk reaction. I was like they said it , me outs. Since then I been getting closer to court room with the judge no me just wants to go home.

@crossbones27 The personal questions were asked after I was seated as a juror and were like "what TV shows do you watch? Do you have bumper stickers on your car?" It wasn't anything crazy.

I did not mind getting jury duty but there was no case for a whole month after going once a week. That is what I hate. Than you get $20 and leave with a free donut. That was not worth my time.

It's very interesting how they pick their jury members. If they call out your name, you could just stand up and say 'I think he/she is guilty'. That should get you out of it.

@crossbones27 - That was hilarious. On a serious note, I just found out Jennifer Finch from L7 passed away today.

@teamfreak16 Oh no, how did she die, she could not have been that old. I am 49 she had what to be 55, they all were just a bit older than me. I looked it up 59, man it really feels like the bad guys are winning.
