Have we got room for a dessert ?

Well, last night after our steak meal The Mister and I decided that we had just about got room for a dessert.
This isn't something that we usually do ....
We checked out the menu and one thing jumped out to both of us ....
I can't remember what it was called but I will describe it to you ....
*** Please remember that this was a sharing dessert ......
Layers of vanilla and chocolate ice cream, topped with Baileys profiteroles, caramel and chocolate sauce and whipped cream.
Oh my, it was huge , by my goodness it was delicious.
Is that the sort of dessert you could make disappear ?

As long as I didn't have to eat the side with the chocolate ice cream, I could manage half of it. If the chocolate ice cream was a layer across the whole thing, then I wouldn't eat it.

@traceyjayne I’ve put on weight just reading that. I never take dessert in a restaurant because they usually disappoint. An exceptionally good crumble with custard I can’t resist however, but you don’t know what the quality is like till it arrives by which time it’s on the bill so I generally abstain. I’ll have a double espresso instead thanks, but only if it’s a good one. My wife has the outrageous habit of asking if what she’s about to order is really nice, and no waiter has yet answered in the negative.

We don't usually do desserts either, for much the same reason ....and we always have ice cream in the freezer anyway.
This time though we saw a dessert being brought to a nearby table ....it looked yummy too so ....we went for it....

@Traceyjayne Last week in Manchester I saw the tiramisu in a restaurant and surrendered- it was very deeply satisfying.

@xFiacre when made properly that's one of the best desserts.

I'm not so fond of lots of things mixed together. I like ice cream, and I like profiteroles, but I think I would rather just have one of those at a time. And since we have delicious home made ice cream in the freezer I would go for the profiteroles which I am rubbish at making!

I have never tried making profiteroles ....I should really now I have more time ....I keep saying I will and I got some piping bags and nozzles from Temu ( surprisingly good quality too )....
