44 days until September 1. We really had a crazy, bad thunderstorm yesterday the kind where thunder cracks right over your house. Lots lost power we didn't here. There is supposed to be one later on today, but it is not going to be very hot today, so it shouldn't be as dramatic. I am going to both Aldi and Lidl today. I have really not be able to shop properly due to the heat, just picked up a few things here and there. I want to go as early as possible though so I can try to get back here for the World Cup finale. I am washing clothes right now..but will be heading out in the next few hours. Hopefully, I will be back by 3. I will try not to waste any time. Have a great day today..whatever it is you are doing.

Yes, they tend to be less dramatic when there is not as much heat around.

The thunderstorm we had, which might have been part of a line lasted a long time. It was storming maybe an hour and a half. Poor little Nico was terrorized and looking for a safe spot.

@snowy22315 - Poor Nico, usually cats are less scared than dogs during thunderstorms. My cat Gevi did not care at all.

@snowy22315 You wouldn’t mock if it were this hot and humid where you live. Last Christmas was 87 F and humid.

It was a little bit like that this morning but there have been a few rainstorms humidity much better now relatively cool.

We're taking our son up to see my sister who shares a birthday with me. She'll be 88 so is getting on in years. She is making potato pie for lunch and she does make a mean potato pie! I'm looking forward to it. She is an hour away so we don't get to see her too often.
