So, I wasn't going to do any shopping today other than at the fantastic church yard sale place(,I got friend a hat )but I noticed I was low on milk this morning so I decided to stop at this market on the opposite side of the little town. While I was standing in line I saw butter rum lifesvers for 1.49. I scooped them up because they are delicious. I have seen them in recent years..but they are usually being sold as a novelty candy for Megabucks. Any oldsters like me on here probably remember when they were a nickel.

@Juliaacv Yes, usually they change their formula to make it worse than it was before.
. That's cuz somebody figured out they could save half a cent a ton of something.

@snowy22315 Oh that is good, sometimes years later when we find something that hasn't necessarily been on the market for a while, it is disappointing. Glad this wasn't the case.

That was a lucky find! Butter Rum Life Savers are one of those candies that instantly bring back memories.

Lifesavers in general are hard to find these days. I think my favorite ones were tropical, but butter rum close second.

They taste a lot like butter scotch buttons another candy I loved. You still see those.

Just now
I remember those. I liked them a lot. Do you remember lifesaver books that had a bunch of different flavor rolls in a book? I got that for Christmas a couple of times.
