Republicans are now trying to use Olive Garden as a justification for the SAVE act

Which GOP strategist came up with this one? The SAVE act is supposed to ensure election security by verifying that every voter is a legal citizen. Yeah um no. Women who get married and change their last names would be ineligible because the name on their birth certificate wouldn't match their current ID. Most married women take their husband's last name. So what is the deal about Olive Garden? A couple of Republican lawmakers have tried to justify showing ID to vote by saying that you need to show photo ID to use Olive Garden's unlimited pasta pass. Um voting as a citizen is a constitutional right. Unlimited pasta and breadsticks is not. Personally I wouldn't give a crap if I had to show my photo ID to vote but I DO have a big issue with the SAVE act and the whole name/birth certificate thing. I'm not changing my name back. That whole provision is insane.
