Just watching TV and have seen something lovely. Wouldn't it be nice to have a big house with huge grounds....nice garden, pool...with a bar , and to be able to have a BBQ every weekend. And I would love to have a spit roast. Mind you , I wouldn't like to see the face as it goes twirling round. It's the life of people with oodles of money ....but, hey, a girl can dream.

I know what you mean even though I am happy living in a nice neighborhood.

It's fun to think about, but then reality sets in. You have to pay those bills and matain that home.

@Traceyjayne Oh, I still would. It's harder than you think to flip the switch on how you've been living your entire life. Addationally, if you have to hire people to help maintain the place, yeah..... fun. I would be a hot mess.

I just want a backyard where I can let out a few dogs. I don’t think it’s fair to have a big dog in an apartment, so I have a Chihuahua. I’d love two, one big and one little.

That sounds like the house and grounds my first wife and I had. We didn't do a lot of BBQ, though, although we did have a beautiful gazebo in the back yard by the pool. Lots of flowerbeds around the house, too. Let me see if I can find a picture of the house for you. Our house in 1991 before we started adding improvements. Front of the house with 5 acres before we planted trees and set up flowerbeds around it.

@Traceyjayne I wish I had pictures to show you the inside. It is 2,000 sq ft inside not including the garage or the upstairs room we added in the attic. Three bedrooms with two and a half baths, fireplace and a large patio. We bought it from the builder before he had done more than the foundations.

I've lost a lot of my hankering for these sorts of things. I would have loved it all when I was older.

You would need staff. Otherwise you'd be so worn out with all the work tending the garden, cleaning the pool etc you wouldn't be able to enjoy it.

@Fleura the handy man would be the chauffeur ...I would do the cooking myself ....( The handy man might do the washing up though ! )

I would have staff .... believe me, if I could afford that I would certainly enjoy it ....a gardener, housekeeper and handy man ....that's all I would need

Hubby wants 100 acres in Montana with the house square in the middle of it with no neighbors.

I can understand that, but I think I would like some neighbours....not too close ....just in case I needed help with something.

I used to watch TV but I hardly anymore. Not because I don't like watching it, but because I am always busy with something
