Killer lettuces on the loose.

I do hope that no American Mylotter has the painful indignity of explosive diarrhoea as a result of the spreading cyclospora epidemic that’s going on. It seems quite widespread and the vicious little parasite that’s causing it seems to have been living in iceberg lettuces imported from Mexico.
So please, dear friends, abstain from ingesting iceberg lettuces and wash your hands before posting here because I don’t want to get it either.

I heard of this the day after I finished my iceberg lettuce......I would have chucked it if I had heard earlier....any excuse not to eat lettuce. !

@traceyjayne Lettuce really is the most redundant of vegetables. It’s only use is to make a paltry restaurant meal look more generous.

I bought a head of iceburg lettuce before the story came out. Luckily, as we have been eating it, nothing has gone wrong health wise.

There is now a recall for all iceberg lettuce in 27 states... Luckily, I don't eat lettuce and Pretty didn't buy any the last couple of times we bought groceries.

I am a lucky person. I have not bought or had any lettuce or any kind of salad since the time when ready packaged salad was recalled and after that, none for me.
