Up and out early .... adventure day ! / myLot

Well, The Mister was shattered last night after working then the long drive home then coming to the caravan . He fell asleep in the settee for three hours then slept all night. The plus side is that he was up early this morning and so at a little after 10am we are already out. He won't tell me where we are headed but the sun is shining and all is good . I'm looking forward to the day . What are you doing today ?

I'm glad he's feeling better today. I slept almost the entire day yesterday after we got home from the hospital and then slept almost all night, too. As far as I know, we don't have plans for today. If I can still see after while, I'll call the garage again and ask them to come jumpstart the car. The battery keeps dying and we need to get that fixed. I'm willing to bet the battery needs to be changed out again... *sigh* We've replaced the battery three times in the last year. Edit to add: I just checked the weather for today and see that it will be extremely hot here for the next week. I won't ask anyone to come check the car. They don't need to be out in the high heat and neither do we. The RealFeel will be well over 110F/43C all for the next 7 days.

Surely there must be something else wrong if you have to keep replacing the battery; normally they last for years these days! Are you sure it's not just a problem with it not charging?

@Fleura I was going to say the same thing ....I don't drive and know next to nothing about cars, but I know the people at the garage are not doing their job properly.

@Fleura I know. I always buy batteries that have a two year warranty on them. The head mechanic warned me last time that he wouldn't be able to replace the battery again. I told him they'll keep replacing it as long as it has a warranty on it or I'd sue over it. Last time, they took the battery out and charged it at the garage. It wouldn't hold the charge so they brought me another new battery when they came back the next day.

@traceyjayne Enjoy your surprise - I’m sure it’ll be a pleasant one. We’ll bimble up the coast to Waterfoot and lollygag along the beach. It’ll be overcast and breezy, just the way I like it. Sandwich stop at Glenloy on the way.

I hope you have a lovely surprise outing! Our friends left this morning so we had a nice brunch with them, but since then all I've been doing is catching up on the hoovering, washing and mending.
