A visit to Minehead ....a seaside town with steam trains.

We were up early and off in the car we went. I wasn't sure where we were headed at first, but it turned out to be a seaside town called Minehead.
It's only a small place but there is a Butlins holiday camp, Tesco and Lidl and McDonald's within walking distance. Typical holiday shops and a long, very clean beach.
Of course I wanted to walk along the beach ....it wasn't crowded at all so we had a lovely walk ( no need to dodge the playing children or sandcastles ).
We had some chicken snacks and a drink.
The sun was shining all day too.
There is also a mini steam railway there and although we didn't have time for a journey today it was lovely to see old steam trains.

@celticeagle. Hopefully we will be able to go back later in the season ….fingers crossed we will be able to go on a steam train then.

@traceyjayne A day well spent. We did a long beach walk at Waterfoot today under grey skies and helped along by a stiff breeze.

Sounds cool, how is the weather still crazy hot there or has it become more normal. That is great place to visit if it so hot, those beach side towns.

It's still hot , but the usual Summer hot .....not the heatwave hot we had a few weeks ago.
