My iPhone went missing...

I've been feeling a bit off these past few days because I'm still not sure if I lost my iPhone or if someone "helped" me lose it. 
Either way, it was a huge hassle. These days your whole life is on your phone - online banking, authentication codes, payments, work apps... losing it feels like losing the keys to your digital life.
Setting everything up on a new phone took way longer than I expected, and I hope I never have to do that again!
Have you ever lost your phone or had it stolen? How did you deal with it?

I would lose my mind if I lost my phone, or if it was ever stolen! My while life is definitely on my phone!

@sol_cee The last time I lost my phone, I went into total panic mode. I retraced my steps everywhere I had been that day, and couldn't find it anywhere. Then I remembered I have the Find-a-Phone app installed, so I was able to go on my computer and turn on the location. It was in my vehicle the entire time, it had fallen out of my pocket and got lodged between the seat and the center console.

I hope you bought a decent Android instead of another iPhoney again. 
Before I go anywhere, I check my right front pocket to make sure my phone and wallet are with me. When I leave somewhere, I'm patting my pockets to make sure my phone and wallet are with me. If you can get into that type of habit, you'll only lose things on purpose.

@sol_cee You could always look at good Morotola phones. Their batteries last longer than an iPhone battery and their phones are good ones. You would need to replace it after 5 or 6 years, but they're aren't $1,500, either. I gave $170 for the one I'm using now, on sale, from $250 WITH the huge battery and up-to-date programming.

i'm so sorry. you still didn't find it?
i lost my phone or it was stolen at the movies and i found it weird how staff there wouldn't help me; they acted like it wasn't there and weren't thrilled to give a hand like, they were there jsut for serving the food and drinks and opening/closing the doors. i think i tried finding it on my own and failed and even though it was 8 years ago, i still feel bad about not leaving my contact so they could reach me if they found it but considering how they didn't care, it's no wonder i didn't do it. it was a second-hand typing phone but i liked it.

@sol_cee thank you; i am a sensitive soul and i was not feeling great. since then, maybe i watched a few movies and i didn't go to that cinema again or to any cinema. covid changed many things and that movies are not that interesting. i'm sorry for you. you didn't deserve this. so, you will have to buy a new phone, then? i hope you'll win some

The only app that was important to me in my phone is gcash. Because that's how I pay my bills. I have only one phone and this is why I never bring it out.

I haven't lost any of my phones but I agree with you, setting everything up on a new phone takes some time and it is a bit frustrating chore...
I have a new one, given by my sister. It's been 5 months and I still haven't set everything on it. Actually it doesn't have a sim card yet... Hihi..
I just installed messenger so that I can communicate with my sister.
I am still using my 7-year old phone as my daily driver.
