Hello everyone. I hope your day is off to a good start. It is 57 degrees F and getting light here at the Jersey Shore. The high for today is 81 and it is supposed to be sunny and nice. I'll take it. I didn't post much yesterday because I was busy busy busy. When I finished with stuff here I went over to the pool at like 2. I stayed until 6:45 because it was so nice and I was having a good time floating and chatting with neighbors. (more on that in another post) I was supposed to head out today for a 2 week trip but the battery in my car is dead. I wasn't in the mood to deal with that last night so I will call AAA today to get them to either jump it or replace it. Hopefully I'll be on my way tomorrow. We shall see. The downstairs neighbor is going to be here at some point to finish the other half of cleaning the apartment. I'm going to try to get going on cooking some of this stuff in the fridge. Eventually I'll make my way over to the pool. The water is a bit colder than it was due to the chilly night temperatures but once you get in it is fine. What's everyone else up to today?

Good morning. It is 78F in my part of Missouri this morning. Our high is supposed to reach 100F by this afternoon. We're under another heat dome again. Who knows what the RealFeel will be this afternoon. I just know I don't want to be out in it! We bought groceries yesterday and Pretty asked if I'd dice three Mayan sweet onions for whatever she's cooking along with grating carrots and fresh garlic. She says it's something I'll eat. I'm willing to be "kitchen helper" if she's making food for both of us. (I'd have to do the dirty dishes whether I want to eat what she cooks or not.
