Talk about an early one.

Good morning.
Normally I wouldn't be up this early, but I couldn't let myself fall back to sleep just yet. George decided to get out of bed before ten this morning, but I can't give him his blood thinner any earlier than ten. I would wait until eleven, but that'd be too long without anything. I wouldn't want to offer pepsi then take it from him an hour later for his nutrition suplument. So I sit, I wait. I do the job as the wife.
It's not to long of a wait at least, and he did take his medicine today. Well the meds he takes before his blood thinner.

Yeah. I want him to stay alive for as long as he wants to live. Therefore, I'm going to do all in my power to ensure he gets his meds on time.

You're a very devoted wife. It may mean getting up earlier than you'd like, but keeping George on his medication schedule is important, and it sounds like you've found a routine that works for both of you.

Yeah, and this isn't a daily habbit. It's just something he did today. I can't say the same for tomorrow. There are days where he'll sit up and just sit, then lie down and fall back to sleep for another hour or two.

@kareng It surprised me, actually. When George first came home from rehab, I had to manage six different medications. Plus maintain a four time a day feeding schedule and George would fight me over it. The nurse told me they wanted us to purtchuse out of our own pocket a pill orgnizer (they weren't going to provide it) for George to use. I asked her, 'why' when I was the one handling it. One of the meds I had to put down his peg tube, and I hated that one.

Yeah. I had to juggle an antibotic I didn't want while going on a staycation once. That wasn't fun. George's blood thinner is taken twice a day. And, if I don't stick to a rigid schedule, it could harm George.

@kaylachan You're like us when It comes to wedding vows. Time really flies. My hubby and I have been a team for close to 50 years.
